During the annual levee inspection for the Williamson and West Williamson Local Protection Projects on 15 September, Jason Allen of Veolia Water was presented an award for continuing excellence in the maintenance and operational readiness of the Mingo County, WV, floodwall/levee systems. He is notable to the Huntington Levee Safety Program staff in his thoroughness and commitment to abiding by recommendations and requirements for proper maintenance and readiness. Always responsive, Allen has exemplified the shared responsibility of flood risk reduction and service to his community through action and organization.
