Colonel Secrist presents Melissa Boyd with her award of the USACE Value Engineer of the Year for 2017.

The citation reads:  Mrs. Melissa Boyd, the Huntington District Value Engineering Officer, is awarded the 2017 USACE Value Engineering Professional of the Year Award for her outstanding performance as both the Huntington and Louisville District's Value Engineering Officer for six months and for her outstanding support of Value Engineering Community of Practice efforts nationwide.  Melissa served as both Huntington and Louisville District's Value Engineering Officer from October 2016 to March 2017 while also serving on national teams to complete Value Engineering information pamphlets for the Value Engineering Officer Career Path and Project Managers' Guide. She also worked with the USACE Learning Center in development of Value Engineering Module I class and revised SAVE® standards for industry Value Engineering certifications.
