    • From the south - I-71 north to Exit-121 (Polaris Parkway Exit). Turn right (east) on Polaris Parkway. Turn left on Worthington Road. Then turn left on Africa Road. Turn left on to Lewis Center Road to get to the Below Dam Recreation Area or the Corps of Engineers Visitor Center about 1/2 mile beyond the Below Dam Recreation Area.

     

    • From the northeast - take I-71 south to Exit-131 (west on 36/37).  Turn right (west) on 36/37.  Turn left (south) on Africa Rd. Continue on Africa Rd. until you reach Lewis Center Rd.  Turn right (west) on Lewis Center Rd. to get to the Below Dam Recreation Area or the Corps of Engineers Visitor Center about 1/2 mile beyond the Below Dam Recreation Area.

     

    • From Northwest - From U.S. Route 23 south, turn left on Lewis Center Road.  Corps Visitor Center is approximately 3 miles on left.

  • Atwood Lake

    Atwood Lake is approximately 10 miles east of I-77. At I-77 take Exit 93 which is the Bolivar/Zoar – State Route 212 Exit. Take State Route 212 east until you cross Atwood Dam. See Map

  • Beach City Lake

    From Dover, Ohio take I-77 north to the Strasburg , Ohio exit. At the exit turn left. This road turns into State Route 21 going north. On State Route 21, turn left onto State Rt. 250 West. Approximately one mile from the intersection of State Route 250 and State Route 21 is the entrance to the project. See Map

  • Bluestone Lake

    Bluestone Dam and Lake are easily accessible from I-77 and I-64. Take exit 14 (Athens Road) off I-77 to Route 20 N, approximately 25 miles to Bluestone Dam. Take exit 139 (Sandstone/Hinton) off I-64 to Route 20 S, approximately 12 miles to Bluestone Dam. The dam is located at Hinton, WV. The project office is accessed on the Bellepoint side via Rt. 3 onto Miller Avenue.

  • Bolivar Dam

    Bolivar Dam is approximately 1 mile east of I-77. At I-77, take Exit 93 which is the Bolivar/Zoar – State Route 212 Exit. Take State Route 212 east roughly ½ mile and make a left on Tuscarawas County Road 103. Go approximately 100 yards, take a left onto Glenpark Road, approximately a mile down the road is Bolivar Dam and Facilities. See Map

  • Bulltown Historic Area near Burnsville Lake

    If traveling north on Interstate 79:

    • Exit from Interstate 79 at Flatwoods Exit (Exit 67).
    • Turn Right at the intersection after exit ramp.
    • At the traffic light, turn Left on US 19 North.
    • Travel approximately 10 miles, through the community of Napier and across the Little Kanawha River (Burnsville Lake).
    • Look for a sign reads Bulltown Campground/Historical Area (Millstone Road) on the left.
    • Turn Left, and travel approximately 1 mile and take the first Left.
    • Go to the top of the bank, and take the next Left into the Historical Area parking lot.

    If traveling south on Interstate 79:

    • Exit from Interstate 79 at Roanoke Exit (Exit 91).
    • Turn Right on US 19 South.
    • Travel approximately 29 miles through the community of Falls Mill.
    • Look for a sign that reads Bulltown Campground/Historical Area (Millstone Road) on the right.
    • Turn Right, and travel approximately 1 mile and take the first Left.
    • Got to the top of the bank, and take the next Left into the Historical Area parking lot.

  • Burnsville Lake

    Burnsville Dam is located in Braxton County on the Little Kanawha River 124 miles above its confluence with the Ohio River and approximately 3 miles above the town of Burnsville, WV. From I-79 take Exit 79. Follow Route 5 to the dam and project office.

  • Charles Mill Lake

    Charles Mill Lake is located on the Black Fork of the Mohican River. The Dam is located approximately 3 miles east of I-71. At I-71 take US 30 east almost 1 mile to State Route 603. Then take State Route 603 south about 2 miles to dam. See Map

  • Clendening Lake

    Clendening Lake is approximately 10 miles southeast of Uhrichsville, Ohio.  At Uhrichsville take State Route 800 south to ¼ mile east of Tippecanoe, Ohio.  Turn onto Milarcik Road (County Road 69), approximately ½ mile down the road is the entrance to Clendening Dam. See Map.

  • Deer Creek Lake

    From I-71 take Exit 84. Then take State Route 56 East. From 56, take State Route 207 South. Follow signs to Dam and Visitor Center at 21897 Deer Creek Rd. From US Route 23 take US Route 22 West. Then SR 207 North. Follow signs to Dam and Visitor Center. See Map

    Delaware Dam is located about 4 miles north of the city of Delaware, Ohio. From Delaware take Route 23 north to the dam and project office. See Map

    From I-64 West take the Mountain Parkway exit. From I-64 East take the US 23 South Exit.

    From I-75 North, take the Hal Rogers Parkway exit. From I-75 south, take the I-64 East exit.

    From U.S. Route 23 take Route 3 East which becomes Route 321, then turn right onto Route 3 and go 1.9 miles to Route 302. Take Route 302 to the Dewey Lake Project Office/ Visitor Center. See Map

  • Dillion Lake

    Dillon Lake is approximately 6 miles northwest of Zanesville, Ohio and twenty miles east of Newark, Ohio. Access to the lake is provided by State Route 146 via State Routes 16 and 586 from the north and US 40 and Interstate 70 from the south.

  • Grayson Lake

    From I-64 take exit 172 and go south on route 7 (appox 8 miles) until you cross the dam. Take the first left on the other side of the dam and the visitor center will be in view.

  • John W. Flannagan Dam & Reservoir

    John W. Flannagan Dam & Reservoir is located in the Cumberland Mountains of Dickenson County, Virginia. From route 460, take route 80 into Haysi and follow the signs to the dam. From route 23, take route 83 into Clintwood and turn left onto Main Street, which becomes 607. Turn left onto 614 and then another left onto 739. See Map

  • Mohawk Dam

    Mohawk Dam is approximately 15 miles west of Coshocton, Ohio and 25 miles east of Mount Vernon, Ohio. Access to the dam is via State Route 36 (which connects Mount Vernon and Coshocton), then State Route 715 which travels directly across the crest of the dam.

  • Mohicanville Lake

    Mohicanville Dam is located on Ashland County Road 175, 14 miles South of Ashland and 10 miles North of Loudonville.

  • North Branch of Kokosing River Lake

    Kokosing Lake is about 15 minutes north of Mount Vernon and just west of Fredericktown, Ohio. From Fredericktown, access to the dam is via State Route 13 north to Waterford Road. The dam is located on the right about two miles from the Waterford Rd. Rt.13 Jct. Kokosing Campground and Picnic Areas are also on the right just off Waterford Road about 1/2 mile farther.

  • North Fork of Pound River Lake

  • Paint Creek Lake

    Paint Creek Lake is located on Paint Creek, which originates 30 miles southwest of Columbus, Ohio. From Columbus take Route 23 South to Chillicothe. From Chillicothe take Route 50 West for 20 miles to Paint Creek Lake. When coming from Hillsboro take Route 50 East for 20 miles to the lake. The Corps of Engineers office is located on Rapid Forge Road off of Route 50. The State Park office is located on Route 50. See Map

  • Paintsville Lake

    From Route 23 take Route 40 West 1.5 miles to Route 2275, turn right and travel 1 mile to the Paintsville Lake Dam, turn left onto the Dam and travel ½ mile up the hill to the US Army Corps of Engineers, Office/Visitor Center.

  • Piedmont Lake

    Piedmont Dam is located near the town of Piedmont, Ohio.  The lake is actually in three counties, Harrison, Pelmont, and Guernsey.  Access to the lake is one of two ways: On I-77, take exit 47 at Cambridge, Ohio, and go east on Rt. 22 for 23 miles; or off I-70, take exit 202, go north on State Rt. 800 to State Rt. 22, and go east on Rt. 22 for about 3 miles to the Dam.   • Pleasant Hill Dam

    The address for the dam is 1041 Co.Rd.3006, Perrysville, OH 44864-9782. There are many way to get there, here are three of them; From I-71 take Exit 165, get on State Route 97 east, travel 4.6 miles past the village of Butler, Ohio, and turn left onto McCurdy Road, go two miles and turn right on Goon Road which is also county road 3006. Co. Rd. 3006 takes you to the dam. It's approximately 20 miles east of I-71. From Loudonville take Rt.39, west, to Co.Rd. 917. Turn Left onto Co.Rd. 3006 and proceed to the dam. From the Loudonville area, off of Rd. 39 N out of town, turn at the VFW / Co.Rd. 917 and go to Co.Rd. 3006. Turn left and follow the road to the dam.

  • R.D. Bailey Lake

    The dam is on the Guyandotte River near the southern West Virginia town of Justice in Wyoming County. From Justice take Route 52 East. Turn left off route 52 at the R.D. Bailey sign. This road leads to the Visitor Center, with the park office and dam overlook.

  • Senecaville Lake

    Senecaville Lake is approximately 6 miles east of I-77. At I-77 take Exit 37 which is the Senecaville, Ohio/Senecaville Lake State Route 313 Exit. Take State Route 313 east to State Route 574. Turn Right/South on State Route 574 until you cross Senecaville Lake Dam.

     Summersville Lake is conveniently located close to US 19. From US 19 take Route 129 W to the dam, office and lake. See Map.

  • Sutton Lake

    To access the Bee Run Day Use Area, Bee Run Campground, and Gerald R. Freeman Campground use I-79 exit 67 (Flatwoods exit).

    To access the Sutton Dam area and Baker's Run Campground use I-79 exit 62 (Sutton/Gassaway exit).

  • Wills Creek Lake

    From Coshocton, Ohio, take State Route 16 west to State Route 83 south. On State Route 83 south, go approximately 4.5 miles and turn right onto County Road 429 (stay to the left at all intersections). Turn left at County Road 497, which goes across Wills Creek Dam. The project office is located on the far side.

  • Yatesville Lake

    From U.S. 23, turn on Rt. 3 West. Go 4 miles to Rt. 1185. Turn left onto Rt. 1185 and go 3 to the Project. Follow the signs to the Dam and Project Office/Information Center.
