  • Volunteers Positions Available
In exchange for 'free' camping, reliable and committed volunteers are needed to perform light maintenance, act as visitor center hosts, and collect fees from the public as they enter the Stower's Branch Swimming Beach. Campsites include water, sewage and 50 amp electric hook-ups. Laundry facilities are also available free of charge to volunteers. For additional information, contact Allen Shultz, Park Ranger, by phone at 304-525-4831, or by email at Robert.A.Shultz@usace.army.mil
  • Shelter Reservation System in Effect
The National Recreation Reservation System must be used to make shelter reservations at Beech Fork Lake. This system allows reservations to be made up to 360 days in advance, and may be accessed toll free by phone at 1-877-444-6777, or on the internet at www.recreation.gov. Those wishing to make reservations will need to indicate to the reservation service that shelters at Beech Fork Lake are considered "day use facilities." Also, they must know the number of the shelter they wish to reserve. Shelter 1 is upstream of the dam near the marina, Shelter 2 is upstream of the dam near the basketball court, Shelter 3 is downstream of the dam near the outflow, and Shelter 4 is downstream of the dam near Beech Fork Road. (See also "Picnicking.")
