Lend A Hand For History Event
This year Bulltown Historic Area at Burnsville Lake participated in the annual Park Day event on Saturday April 7th. What is Park Day... Since 1996, the Civil War Trust has sponsored Park Day, an annual hands-on preservation event to help Civil War, Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 battlefields and historic sites take on maintenance projects. Fourteen volunteers arrived at the Bulltown Historic Area on a cold, wet, and snowy day to help clean the Bulltown Historic Area Cabins and Interpretive Center/Museum, cut and removed hazard trees from the Civil War Battle Field and Village. Volunteers also, removed debris from the Historic Village lawn in preparation of the upcoming recreation season. The Friends Of Burnsville Lake provided snacks, drinks and lunch during the event. Also, Park Day T-shirts was available for the Bulltown Historic Area Lend A Hand for History volunteers
