HUNTINGTON, W.Va… The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will open Dover Dam in Dover, Ohio, for public tours between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018 on behalf of Dover Dam Days.

The Dover Dam is located at 5153 State Route 800 Dover, Ohio 44622. Parking will be available at the direct pull off from State Route 800 as well as below the dam, accessible off of State Route 800. Tours and information will be provided and personnel will be available to answer questions pertaining to the role of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Corps’ missions as well as questions relating to the safety and operation control of the local dams.

Dover Dam Day, coordinated with the Camp Tuscazoar Foundation, is an annual event held the first weekend in May. This event consists of numerous tours of Dover Dam, held all day for the Boy Scouts and the general public

To take the tour, the public is invited to meet at the dam gatehouse. Photo IDs are required for all adults, and videos, photos, and large bags are not permitted on the tour.  For more information or questions, please contact the Muskingum Area Office at (330)-365-4255.

Dover Dam
