Kids Fishing Tournament at East Lynn Lake

HUNTINGTON, W.VA… The 19th annual “Kids Fishing Tournament” is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Lick Creek Pond at East Lynn Lake in East Lynn, W.Va.  The tournament features three age categories: 6 years old and under, 7 to 11 years old, and 12 to 15 years old. Trophies will be given to participants who catch the most, smallest, and largest fish within the three age categories. Sign-in begins at 8:45 a.m., fishing starts at 9:30 a.m., and the tournament will end at 11:30 a.m.

Refreshments, lunch, and trophies will be provided by the Wayne Wal-Mart. Bring your fishing gear and enjoy the day at the pond. Lick Creek Pond is located off Rt. 37 approximately 18 miles east of Wayne.

The Kids Tournament coincides with the West Virginia Free Fishing Weekend on June 8 and 9. The event has received sponsorships from Wal-Mart of Wayne, West Virginia Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
