HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District, will hold a public meeting regarding a preliminary draft array of potential alternatives to address dam safety risks at the levee on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Zoar School House on Foltz Street between 4th and 5th Streets in Zoar Village, Ohio 44697.
This meeting will be open to the public and will have a workshop like environment with drawings and experts to provide explanations of the draft potential alternatives. A brief introductory presentation will begin a 7:00 p.m.
Public input is vital to the Corps’ ability to understand potential impacts each alternative may or may not have so that the Corps can design ways to minimize or mitigate impacts.
