Published Jan. 30, 2014
EAST LYNN, W.Va. – To facilitate some required maintenance on the East Fork Campground Bridge, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Huntington District East Lynn Lake, will begin a special water release the week of Feb. 10. This release will draw the lake down an additional 5 feet below normal winter pool to an elevation of 561 feet. The lake will remain at this elevation until March 31, at which time workers will begin raising the lake to a normal pool elevation.
Due to the design of the launch ramps, all launch ramps accessing East Lynn Lake will be closed during this time. Bank fishing on the lake will be available during this time of lower lake levels. Fishing access at the Below Dam Recreation Area and Lick Creek Pond will not be impacted.
