PR14-007 5th Annual Spring Cleanup to be held at Yatesville Lake

Louisa, KY – Volunteers are invited to take part in Yatesville Lake’s 5th Annual Spring Cleanup

on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 9 a.m. until noon.

 

Individuals and groups are welcome to participate. Volunteers will meet at the Lawrence County

Park Shelter No. 3 at 9 a.m. for check-in and directions. Trash bags, gloves, and safety vests will be

provided. If you wish bring a boat and work from it, feel free to do so. Volunteers will reconvene at the

picnic shelter at 11:30 a.m. for lunch, which will be provided by local sponsors.

 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has teamed up with the Friends of Yatesville Lake and the

Lawrence County Fiscal Court to carry on this tradition of environmental responsibility and to preserve

the beauty of the lake for all to enjoy.

 

Over 300,000 visitors come to Yatesville Lake each year to participate in a wide range of

outdoor recreational activities. Keeping the lake and surrounding areas litter-free benefits visitors and

the local community.
