Volunteers Welcome at East Lynn Lake Cleanup April 26

Huntington, W.Va.  – Volunteers are invited to assist U.S. Army Corps of Engineers employees in the annual East Lynn Lake Cleanup on Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lakeside Boat Ramp in East Lynn, W.Va.  

Activities for the day include debris and trash pickup on the lake and along the shoreline. Anyone who would like to take part in the effort may use their personal boat and deposit collected trash at any boat ramp. Volunteers should meet at the Lakeside Day Use Area at 8 a.m. Garbage bags will be provided at the Lakeside Boat Ramp. Those who do not have access to a boat may pick up trash by walking along the shoreline at the Damsite, Lakeside, Lick Creek and East Fork Areas. Volunteers should bring work shoes or boots and gloves.   

Groups who plan to participate in the event are encouraged to sign up prior to the event date by calling 304-849-2355.
