Huntington, W.Va. - The 15th annual Kids Fishing Tournament will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Lick Creek Pond at East Lynn Lake in East Lynn, W.Va.
Sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Wayne Wal-Mart , the tournament is open to four age categories: 3 years old and under, 4 to 6 years old, 7 to 11 years old, and 12 to 15 years old.
Prizes will be given to participants who catch the most, smallest, and largest fish within the four age categories. Sign-in begins at 8:45 a.m. and fishing starts at 9:30 a.m. The tournament will end at 11:30 a.m.
Refreshments, lunch, and prizes will be provided by the Wayne Wal-Mart. Lick Creek Pond is located off Rt. 37, approximately 18 miles east of Wayne.
The Kids Tournament coincides with the West Virginia Free Fishing Weekend, which is June 13 and 14, 2015.
