Village of New Boston Combined Sewer System Improvements

HUNTINGTON, W. VA. -- Representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers joined local officials on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015 to officially sign the project partnership agreement for the Village of New Boston Combined Sewer System Improvements Project in New Boston, Ohio.

The project partnership agreement between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Village of New Boston will continue the ongoing work of the Combined Sewer System Improvements construction project. The Federal share of this Section 594 Environmental Infrastructure Program project has been allocated $1 million.

The Project falls under the Section 594 Environmental Infrastructure Program and will complete the efforts to reduce environmental impacts to the community during storm events and comply with Federal regulations. Since its inception, the Section 594 Program has provided over $129 million in Federal funding to improve water and wastewater infrastructure in Ohio.

“The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is pleased to partner with the Village of New Boston in this project that will have lasting positive impacts in this community,” said Corey Weaver, project manager.
