National Public Lands Day at Delaware Lake

Published Sept. 16, 2015

Huntington, W.Va. – As part of National Public Lands Day, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites volunteers to take part in a clean-up effort at Delaware Lake in Delaware, Ohio, on Oct. 3, 2015, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The community is invited to join in a morning of volunteering at the lake – the group will meet at 3920 U.S. Highway 23N in Delaware.

National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands. Last year thousands of volunteers and park visitors celebrated at more than 2,100 public land sites in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The event began in 1994.
