Huntington, W.Va. - A Project Partnership Signing Ceremony for the Prichard Waterline Extension Design Project will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Kenova Towne Square at 15th Street and Chestnut Street.
The Section 340 project will provide funding for the design of a system to provide water and fire protection service to the Heartland Intermodal Gateway facility in Prichard, W.Va., and includes approximately 10 miles of 12-inch pipe from the Kenova Water Plant. The pipe will be routed along US Route 52 to near the intersection of US Route 152 and County Route 252/14 in Prichard in Wayne County, WV.
The total project cost will be $420,000, with Federal sponsors providing $315,000 and the local sponsor, the City of Kenova, providing $105,000.
The Keynote speaker will be Congressman Evan Jenkins.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to City Council chambers on the second floor of the Municipal Building.
