Dillon Lake to Delay Releases

Published Nov. 8, 2016

HUNTINGTON, W.VA. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will delay the drawdown at Dillon Dam in Zanesville, Ohio, until Nov. 16, 2016.

Water will be released from the dam Nov. 16 and 17 to facilitate swift water rescue training by the Ohio Fire Academy, at the request of the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources.

Dillon Lake is typically drawn down in November to lower the lake to winter pool level, which allows room for more water storage in the spring. The level is expected to be at winter pool on December 1 as usual.
