  • Bluestone Dam to Temporarily Stop Flows Oct. 8

    Huntington, W.Va. – The water flowing through the Bluestone Dam in Hinton, W.Va., will be temporarily stopped by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Oct. 8, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to allow Corps personnel to conduct a regular periodic inspection of the sluice gates.
  • Huntington District Participates in Nationwide Campaign

    Huntington, W.Va. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District today announced its participation in National Disability Employment Awareness Month, an annual awareness campaign that takes place each October. The purpose of National Disability Employment Awareness Month is to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities.
  • Battle of Bulltown Reenactment to be Held at Burnsville Lake

    Huntington, W.Va. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Burnsville Lake will host a “Living History Event” commemorating the Civil War Battle of Bulltown at the Bulltown Historical Area, Fort and Battlefield in Napier, W.Va., on Friday, Oct. 10, Saturday, Oct. 11, and Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014.
