The Mosul Dam Safety Modification (DSMS) team is in step three (formulation) of the six step planning process. The formulation step involves developing risk management alternatives to address the dam safety issues at Mosul Dam. The DSMS team met with the risk assessors at the RMC office in Lakewood, CO. All of the goals of the meeting were met.
These goals were:
1. Brief the risk assessors on the measures the PDT developed for potential use in alternative plans;
2. Brainstorm and develop measures with the risk assessors;
3. Evaluate potential risk reduction provided by measures;
4. Combine measures into complete plans to address risks at Mosul Dam.
