BG Toy visits R3F Heavy Fleet

BG Mark Toy, Commanding General, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division presented Commander's Coins for Excellence to Kathy Eubanks, Chris Wilson and Travis Morgan during his recent visit to Meldahl Locks and Dam. General Toy was there to visit the Heavy Fleet while they were dewatering the main chamber in preparation of a miter gate replacement. Kathy Eubanks, Chris Wilson and Travis Morgan were recognized for their outstanding performance in the day-to-day operation of this critical piece of infrastructure.

During a recent visit to Meldahl Locks and Dam, BG Toy, Commanding General, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division presented welder, Sam Lowery of the R3F Heavy Fleet with his coin to recognize his outstanding work and service with our fleet.

Recently BG Toy, Commanding General, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, visited the Heavy Fleet of the Regional Rivers Repair Fleet (R3F) at Meldahl Locks and Dam. The Heavy Fleet is currently replacing Miter Gates and BG Toy was able to get a firsthand look at the work and spend some time with the crews of the fleet and the locks and dam. BG Toy and COL Secrist speak with Fleet Superintendent Darrell Weaver and Welder Sam Lowery during recent visit to R3F.
