Colonel Secrist brought representatives from multiple Divisions within the District together to assist with developing a Lease By Application (LBA) Compliance Plan Timeline for a proposed mineral lease currently being evaluated by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at Dewey Dam. Representatives from Operations, Real Estate, Project Management, Planning, Regulatory, Office of Council, Geotechnical, and Engineering & Construction assisted the BLM State Director and BLM representatives from the Southeastern States Field Office.
Representatives from BLM included: Karen Mouritsen - State Director, Eastern States, Elena Fink - Deputy State Director, Natural Resources, Eastern States, Dominica VanKoten - Acting District Manager, Southeastern States Field Office, Elizabeth Ivy - Assistant District Manager, Southeastern States Field Office, and Randall Mills – Mining Engineer, Southeastern States Field Office. Huntington District representatives included: Colonel Philip M. Secrist, III - Commander, Huntington District USACE, Joe Savage - Deputy District Engineer, Wayne Budrus - Chief, Operations and Readiness Division, August Martin - Chief, Engineering and Construction Division, Paul Loftus – Chief, Office of Counsel and Stephen Porter – Project Manager.
