Task Force Power Restore

The USACE Task Force Power Restore GIS Team, which includes Huntington's Craig Ashby, coordinates with Puerto Rico Electric Power Association (PREPA) to catalog locations of transmission, sub transmission, and distribution. The team's efforts have been and will continue to be crucial to communication, coordination, and line status reporting among the USACE and PREPA response.

"Craig's 4-person GIS team has been doing a great job supporting the efforts," said Derek Maxey. " They regularly field high-priority-high visibility requests and Craig has been an absolute superstar, not just for his technical expertise, but even more through his calm focus, and can-do creativity.  I can say I'm absolutely impressed and proud to tell everyone that he's one of us Huntington guys."

"Puerto Rico has been a reality adjustment.   The island is devastated.  I've never seen a more complex, high priority problem for us to resolve.  Fortunately, the Puerto Rican citizens are tough, "said Derek Maxey.
