Intensive surveys are designed to fully assess water quality parameters within a watershed and allows the Water Quality Team to monitor water quality conditions, establish baseline conditions, assess current water quality status, and identify any significant water quality trends within LRH watersheds.

Understanding the physical, chemical, and biological processes occurring in our waterways allows the Corps the opportunity to efficiently operate projects in ways that provide for sustainable human uses while conserving the environmental value of the resource.
