​The Strait Creek Prairie Bluffs In-Lieu Fee (ILF) mitigation site is the first approved ILF site in the state of Ohio. Located in Adams County, Ohio, the Strait Creek Prairie Bluffs ILF mitigation site will involve the restoration, re-establishment, enhancement and preservation of 5,810 lf of streams, 1.71 acre of wetlands, the adjacent riparian corridors, floodplains and upland buffers within the Ohio Brush – White Oak watershed.

The Strait Creek Prairie Bluffs In-Lieu Fee (ILF) mitigation site is the first approved ILF site in the state of Ohio.  Located in Adams County, Ohio, the Strait Creek Prairie Bluffs ILF mitigation site will involve the restoration, re-establishment, enhancement and preservation of 5,810 lf of streams, 1.71 acre of wetlands, the adjacent riparian corridors, floodplains and upland buffers within the Ohio Brush – White Oak watershed.  On-site construction began three weeks ago and will take a total of approximately 6 months to generate 8,919 stream credits and 0.704 wetland credits for the purpose of fulfilling compensatory mitigation obligations assumed by the Nature Conservancy through the sale of advance mitigation credit(s) for regulated activities authorized by Department of the Army permits.
