Published Sept. 13, 2019

For the past few days an Unmanned Aerial Systems crew from Huntington District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been assisting Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with gathering imagery from Virginia Beach, Virginia's Sandbridge beach to see how much sand was lost as a result of Hurricane Dorian. Their flight operations ended this morning, and now the data will be downloaded and processed to help gain a better picture of what Dorian did to the beach and sand dunes.
