Corps of Engineers Outdoor Venues Are Open to Public

Published March 17, 2020

In light of all the recent concerns with COVID-19, the good news is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers continues to provide recreational opportunities for the public. Outdoor venues including boat ramps, trails, and fishing access sites will remain open at this time. However, in the interest of public safety, some facilities such as visitor centers, playgrounds, and restrooms will be closed until further notice.

While recreating at our facilities, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends practicing “Social Distancing” such as maintaining 6 feet between other people and not gathering in groups of 10 or more.

All U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ day use fees will be waived until further notice.

All dams for flood risk management and locks for navigation will remain fully operational.
