On Saturday September 4th the Friends of Burnsville Lake sponsored “Bobber’s” Birthday at Bulltown Campground. The event was filled with fun and entertainment for the whole family, kids even got to have Cupcakes with Bobber! The evening ended with live music from the band Restless!
RANGER Lisa Hess and Braxton County Police Sergeant Luke Johnson led Bobber’s parade through the loops of the campground while RANGERS Brian Carson, Grant Pierce and Josh Stanley passed out over 150 frisbees to the kids on the bank from the Patrol Boat.
Fun was had by all, but Boater Safety is no laughing matter. Labor Day is a wonderful time for fun in the sun, and remembering to always wear your life jacket when you are in or around the water!
These events were sponsored by the Friends of Burnsville Lake and Burnsville Lake US Army Corps of Engineers! A SPECIAL THANKS to the Bulltown Historical Area Volunteers and Bulltown Historical Association for also coming out and helping with Bobber’s B-day Celebration!
We would like to thank everyone that helped out and came out to make this day a huge success!
