The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at John W. Flannagan Lake is committed to keeping the lake clean and safe year round. Our maintenance staff tirelessly tackled the major task of removing debris from the lake while the water levels continue to rise and fall. April 23 was Flannagan's Lake clean up. Volunteers from Dickenson County Sheriff's Office, Litter Control, JWF/NFP and Mountain View Marina staff removed over 121 bags of trash, 36 tires, and numerous other items for a total of 3.7 tons.
