    SAME 3rd Annual Small Business Conference

    Huntington District Commander Col. Philip Secrist and twenty of his staff members and subject-matter-experts participated in the annual Small Business Conference that wrapped up May 11, 2016, at Marshall University’s Memorial Student Center in Huntington, W.Va.
  • Town of Clay, W.Va. Water Treatment Plant Dedication Ceremony

    On May 3, 2016 the Town of Clay, W.Va. dedicated its newly upgraded water treatment plant as part of a Section 571, Environmental Infrastructure Program, project. Approximately $1 Million in funding from the program was used for plant upgrades that expanded the intake capacity from 400 gallons per minute (GPM) to 800 GPM and increased the plant storage capacity to 73,500 Gallons. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) also provided funding for the project.
  • Media Relations Training

    The Huntington District’s Public Affairs Office conducted media relations training for 30 members of the Huntington workforce at Beech Fork Lake. The facilitator was Dr. Joseph Trahan III of Trahan and Associates. This training improves the district's team members understanding of communication techniques and increases their confidence when telling the district’s story through the media.
