    District Spotlight—R.D. Bailey Lake

    This project was called the Justice Reservoir, during the planning stages. In 1965, Congress changed the name in honor of the late Judge R.D. Bailey, a lawyer, state senator, prosecuting attorney, and a leader in Wyoming County education. Judge Bailey also was circuit judge of Wyoming and Mingo counties during the bloody coal mine wars of the 1920's.

    The Huntington District conducted a graduation ceremony for the LDP level 1 class with COL Secrist awarding certificates to: Zack Abbott, Andrew Auxier, Wanda Booth, Eric Jones, Greg Lovins, Jeanne Ann Mullins, Bryan Muroski, Ashley Pierson, Kayla Price, Glenda Robinson, Kyle Scholz, Ashley Stephens, Shane Taylor, Megan Thompson and Derek Wagoner.

  • Partnering Meeting-Michigan Governor's Cabinet

    The Planning Center of Expertise for Inland Navigation and Risk-Informed Economics Division (PCXIN-RED) and the leadership team of Detroit District, LTC Sugrue (Commander) and Scott Thieme (DPM), hosted a partnering meeting with the State of Michigan Governor's Cabinet and industry stakeholders in Huntington, WV. Purpose of the meeting was to discuss the economic analysis for the Soo Lock Project.
