    Earth Day at Alum Creek Lake

    This year for Earth Day the rangers at Alum Creek, along with some AMAZING volunteers, planted 75 native trees and shrubs around the Visitor Center! What a great way to give back to the planet!
  • Beech Fork Lake Spring Cleanup

    Spring Cleanup 2018 was a huge success! We were joined by 20+ volunteers on Saturday morning to clean trash from Beech Fork Lake.
  • Huntington District Receives Highest Honor for Emergency Management

    The Huntington District of the United States Army Corps of Engineers Emergency Management Program has earned reaccreditation by the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP).
  • 2018 WV FUDS Forum & WV Maneuver Area Site Visit

    On 19-April the Huntington District FUDS PDT conducted the annual West Virginia FUDS Forum at the Seneca Rocks Discovery Center. Representing LRH were personnel from Project Management and HTRW Section, and from the LRL Office of Counsel. Other attendees included reps from WV Department of Environmental Protection, and the host US Forest Service. Representatives from USEPA and LRL's Projects and Program Management Division participated by conference call.
  • Sutton Lake Volunteers

    Thanks to our volunteers, our campgrounds are officially open! Gerald R. Freeman, Bakers Run and Bee Run campgrounds now welcome campers for the season! All boat launches are officially open as well.
  • Lend A Hand For History Event

    Since 1996, the Civil War Trust has sponsored Park Day, an annual hands-on preservation event to help Civil War, Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 battlefields and historic sites take on maintenance projects.
