    1st Annual Huntington District Military Ball

    The evening began with a receiving line in the traditional military manner. Then at the beginning of the dinner, there was a toast to the services, the president, the nation and our fallen comrades. Over dinner the audience were treated with remarks by Colonel Evers and the guest speaker.
  • Army Engineers Week

    National Engineers Week, sponsored by the National Society of Professional Engineers, coincides with the birthday of President George Washington -- America's first engineer. This observance calls attention to the contributions that engineers make to society. It is also a time to emphasize the importance of learning math, science, and technical skills.
  • Operations and Maintenance Open House

    The Huntington District’s Operations and Readiness Division, along with the Regional Rivers Repair Fleet, Huntington Contracting Branch, Safety and Occupational Health, Office of Small Business Programs, Small Business Administration Region II, and the WV National Guard, conducted an Open House to allow contractors and potential contractors an opportunity to exchange information for the purposes of Market Research and Networking. Almost fifty firms were in attendance to see how they could help us meet our mission goals. This is an opportunity to build relationships with contractors and allow them to learn how they can be a part of our success.
  • Congressman Bill Johnson Visits Pomeroy Section 14 Project

    ​Recently, Congressman Bill Johnson visited the Pomeroy Section 14 Streambank Stabilization project. He met with Pomeroy city leadership as well as the Huntington District team of Colonel Evers, Joe Savage, Captain Nolan Love, Zach Martindale and Mike Spoor to receive an update on the progress of the project and to visit the work site.
