    Congressional Visit to Willow Island

    Congressman Bill Johnson visited Willow Island Locks and Dam in order to get updated on the maintenance being performed by the Regional Rivers Repair Fleet (R3F). He was very appreciative of the invitation and has a better understanding of the importance of our infrastructure and its support to the regional and national economy.
  • Hurricane Dorian Support Mission

    In anticipation of conducting disaster relief support in the event of Hurricane Dorian striking Puerto Rico, the Huntington District deployed an advance party consisting of the district commander, Colonel Jason Evers and emergency management specialists Randy Campbell and Jason Ritter in order to prepare for potential relief support operations in the wake of a devastating hit by Dorian.
  • USACE Cost Engineer of the Year Award

    Dustin Sawyers serves as lead cost engineer, cost advisor, and mentor on many mega-projects critical to the Nation. He performs his duties in a creative and dedicated manner and promotes high standards of excellence in cost engineering.
  • Zoar Levee Public Meeting

    Representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers met with the public at the Zoar Levee in Zoar, Ohio, on Aug. 21, 2019. The Corps is conducting archaeological investigations in the area of the levee in accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
  • USACE recognizes outstanding teamwork

    Huntington District Commander, COL Jason Evers and the Bluestone Dam Safety Assurance Mega-Project Manager, Aaron Smith traveled to the Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, Mississippi to recognize members of the Coastal Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL), the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) and the Dam Safety Modification Mandatory Center of Expertise (DSMMCX) for their outstanding work to advance Phase 5.
