Civil Works Missions

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District is vigorously working on hundreds of civil works projects focused evaluating water resource related issues and devising innovative solutions for citizens of Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, and North Carolina.

These include evaluating and improving aging infrastructure, conducting new flood risk management studies and constructing new flood protection projects, maintaining and improving navigable waters, designing and implementing ecosystem restoration projects, providing flood plain management services, and helping to facilitate environmental infrastructure upgrades in communities.
